Buddies

When a child starts in Reception at Priory, they will have a Year 6 buddy. These buddies are friendly faces to see around school. In the first few weeks, the buddies help the Reception children settle into the lunch hall routine. Then, throughout the year, they have time to play and read together, both in the classroom and playground. 

Lunch Leaders

In Key Stage 2, children can volunteer to be lunch leaders. This is helping in the lunch hall, serving drinks and helping younger children access the salad bar. They also take responsibility for ringing the playground bell to get classes to lined up for lunch at the correct time. 

Librarians

Working alongside our volunteer librarian, Mrs Barnes, Year 6 can become librarians, helping with re-shelving books, putting new books on the school system and helping other children find books.
